1989 – 2002, teaching at Krasnoyarsk State University and Krasnoyarsk Agrarian University. In 2002, upon an invitation from Centre for Strategic Studies of Krasnoyarsk Region, took charge of the laboratory of politic and strategic studies of the Centre. He is cooperating as expert and as consultant with a number of Russian regional and foreign strategic centers. Lately he has been dedicating himself to projects in the sphere of regional development and national industrial policy.
In 2001 started working with the Center of Strategic studies «North-South» leding up to the Doctrine of development of the North-West of Russia. Took part in strategy generation for development of the Krasnoyarsk region. Has done geo-economic studies at the request of the Central Bank of the Armenian Republic (2002) and in Ukraine (2002). In 2003 he took part in the preparation of report of the working group on industrial policy of the State Council of Russian Federation.
Author of more that 40 scientific papers.
